Karan has 19+ years of extensive experience in handling complicated commercial litigations and arbitration matters before Supreme Court of India; State High Courts and Judicial & Quasi-judicial Tribunals all over India and had worked with India’s leading law firm Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. for more than 10 years.

He has been dealing in litigation matters with special focus on disputes & arbitrations arising out of commercial and corporate transactions in various industries including real estate, insurance, telecom & power and oil & natural gas, etc. represents high profile clients in their matters in India and overseas.

He regularly advises clients on pre / post litigation and arbitration strategies and has been successfully handling and arguing cases before various forums and courts including Supreme Court of India, various State High Courts and other judicial and administrative authorities including National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC), Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) (erstwhile Company Law Board), National Green Tribunal (NGT), Competition Commission of India (CCI), Electricity Regulatory Commissions/ Tribunals, etc. for clients ranging from various multi-national and domestic companies and individuals.

He has given legal opinions, consultations, way forward strategies in litigation and other alternate dispute resolution matters and also regularly guides and assist clients by conducting the diligence / health check of their ongoing litigations and ADR matters.

He regularly appears in several proceedings under Section 8, 9, 11, 34 and 37 of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, Section 482 quashing proceedings, writ petitions, winding-up proceedings, recover suits, suits for specific performance and prohibitive/mandatory injunctions, PILs, consumer complaints, etc. He regularly provides oral and written advise to clients including drafting of various Petitions, Written Statements, Suits; Special Leave Petitions, Interlocutory Applications, Appointment of Receiver or Arbitrator, Statement of Claim, Statement of Defence, Counter-Claims, Notices, etc. and has successfully handled several arbitration matters before Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), etc. and several ad-hoc arbitration panels.

He has a strong ability to understand client’s needs as well as to communicate and summarize detailed legal analysis. He believes in providing resolution oriented and pragmatic advice to the clients. He is an enrolled member of Supreme Court Bar Association and Delhi High Court Bar Association. He is an author to several articles in law and business journals, magazines and newspapers and exclusive member of professional networks like Business Network International (BNI), etc.
