Aalok has 15+ years of multi-jurisdictional experience in IPR Laws and Business laws practice. He had completed his Master of Laws in Intellectual Property Rights and Entertainment Laws from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, New York and heads Intellectual Property Rights practice of the Firm. He also serves as of-counsel for a New York based associate law-firm handling IP and other business transactional issues for US Clients in South East Asia, Middle East, India and London. Aalok has also completed his Diploma in Comparative, Media Law and Policy from University of Oxford.

Aalok has worked with top law firms in New York, Mumbai and Delhi and has also earlier served as General Counsel for a NYSE listed export company. He has been advising various clients from USA, UAE, UK, Philippines and India on various legal issues including protection of Intellectual Property Rights (including patents, trademarks, copyrights and designs), Food Laws, Legal Metrology and has regularly appeared in Delhi High Court, Trademark Registry, Copyright Board and before other Forums in India.

Further, Aalok has been assisting clients from emerging artists to award winning producers, from tech start-ups to fashion apparel companies on various issues ranging from managing their Intellectual Property Portfolios and associated business related issues amongst other areas. He has extensively worked with the USPTO, ASCAP and BMI for securing Intellectual Property Rights of clients serving as Music Supervisor for his clients. He has filed applications, prosecuted, opposed, and rectified all sorts of IPRs including trademarks, copyrights, designs and patents.

He has also been instrumental in enforcement of IPRs like sending cease & desist notices and filing civil suits and criminal complaints for safeguarding trademarks, copyrights and domain name registrations. He has been regularly appearing before Examiners and Hearing Officers in IP Offices and IPAB for applications, oppositions, reviews and appeals. He has been constantly providing legal general advisory services in relation to day-to-day compliances related with IPRs for several Indian and international clients.

He has been appearing in courts handling IP litigation matters including drafting of all sorts of documents and pleadings like research notes, opinions, suits, applications, complaints, legal notices, etc.

He is licensed to practice law in India and is a member of the Bar Council of Delhi and the Sports and Entertainment Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.

Apart from above, Aalok has also Guest Lectured for the One Year Post-Graduate Diploma on Intellectual Property Rights and Cyber Law at Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, India (a deemed University); authored various articles for law journals and also published and Edited a general law magazine with a large subscriber base.
